Hi Luke,
I’ve been working on a version for Moodle 2. Likewise with the Media Player module. However, there’s issues with Moodle 2′s file management system XML driven multimedia that I need to find an appropriate solution for. Not being able to upload multimedia libraries directly to Moodle 2′s files directories is extremely limiting! So far, the answer seems to be to use an external file management system like http://ownCloud.org/ that can integrate with Moodle as an external file repository.
Also, because of the fundamentally different ways they work, it more than likely won’t be possible to simply upgrade instances of the SWF Activity Module and Media Player module from 1.9 to 2.x.
